Mental health awareness
It’s fair to say that in years gone by mental health hasn’t been given the full attention it needs and has often fallen by the wayside, causing many to suffer in silence. However, at Hydropool Staffordshire, we are so happy to see that people are becoming much more comfortable with talking about mental health, and finding solutions to ensure our mental wellbeing is taken care of just as much as our physical wellbeing.
We are also proud to say that soaking in a hot tub can do wonders for your mental health in a number of ways:
Reduce stress and anxiety: The combination of hot water, the massage of the jets and the feeling of weightlessness can alleviate the tension your body and mind holds, significantly reducing stress and anxiety.
Enable better sleep: When your body has been comfortably warm, you are able to fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer. Meaning no more tough, long nights of tossing and turning. Just a few minutes in the tub before bed can allow your body and mind to relax into a comfortable sleep. And of course, better sleep at night means better energy, mood and self-esteem during the day.
Solve loneliness: That’s right! Of course having a relaxing soak in the tub by yourself can be wonderful, but it can be even more beneficial with a friend. Talking things over, having a laugh and enjoying some quality time can reduce the loneliness we can all feel from time to time.
